Oiseau Rock Trail, Quebec (across from Pembroke Ontario)

Near the end of October we went up to Pembroke, in the Ottawa Valley, to visit good friends Gisele and Grant.  On Sunday we took a drive over to "the Quebec side" and headed to hike Oiseau Rock Trail.  It was gorgeous!  We drove up to the gate and paid to enter the "park trail".  It was a bit rough...more like a  logging road but the truck got a good work out.  Even put it in 4-wheel a couple of times.

There was a log across the narrow road and to be sure we stayed on track Grant got out to be a guide.

Little Wally had to go!

Many leaves were down but splashes of colour remained.

Despite all the leaves the trail was not hard to follow.
Views of the Ottawa River teased us along the way.

The trail was a bit steep at times.
Large rocks enroute.

A still and reflective lake was near the end of the trail.

A warning!

Glacial activity recorded here.

Wow!  What a vista!

Brave as always.

Filling our senses.
