Snow to snow!

We left the winter wonderland of Kincardine and Southern Ontario and arrived at a different type of winter wonderland!  What's with that?
Yesterday while visiting the Desert Museum I saw average temperatures and 64F is the normal high for January here.  So I guess that is the way it will be.  The last few days have been well below that however.   Yesterday it warmed up to 62F!  Even at that it gets very cold at night...frost on the cacti this morning.  We went and had coffee in the hot tub.  At night it often freezes and we are using the furnace and electric heaters on a regular basis since we got back.  We have to leave the taps on drip overnight so lines don't freeze.
Below  is a picture I took on New Year's day while we were trying to warm up in one of the hot tubs at Voyager. (Making good use of them!) The first couple of days were cloudy and we even saw some snowflakes and pellets in the air.  At least the sun came out on New Year's day and has been out every day since but you can see the snow on the mountains in the background!  It really looks strange when there are palm trees around as well.  I am NOT going up there to make a snow angel!
