Flagstaff JH Park and Humphrey's Peak
Remarkably within 80 miles the landscape changed from high desert plains and plateaus (with a meteor crator) to trees and mountains. Humphrey Peak is the highest in Arizona with an altitude of 12,ooo ft. From the top you can vaguely see the Grand Canyon. The chairlift went most of the way. You had to drive part way up to get the lift. How about that snow? It was nearly 20 degrees cooler up there but you wouldn't be skiing right now! Too many rocks. Make sure you click on the pictures to enlarge them then you can read the sign! The mountains here are called San Francisco Peaks. Surprisingly driving to these altitudes has not been difficult with the RV. The climbs have been gradual if you stay on main interstates. Of course side roads are a different story.
Flagstaff is a University town and in a beautiful setting among trees and forests reminiscent of Blue Mountain and Banff. We haven't explored much of Flagstaff yet. We have been busy doing side trips. But we will get to it. The first 4 pictures above are of our campground here. It is lovely.

Looks very nice. Certainly different than the flat Florida landscape.
Could be the towing without difficulty in the mountains is due to the "new turbo inlet" :).
